As the WNYAHL Squirt Major Red division finished up their season, the Blazers Squirts finished in the #4 seed and will battle the Niagara Junior Purple Eagles on Saturday February 22 for a spot in the semi-finals. The Blazers beat Niagara 1-0 and 4-0 this year. Good luck Blazers!

The Syracuse Blazers 2009 Squirt team clinched a WNYAHL playoff spot after a 2-1 victory over the Buffalo Regals and a 5-0 win against the Clarence Mustangs last weekend. This marks the second playoff berth in as many seasons playing in the WNYAHL. The Blazers finished the season 10-5-5 in league play; their playoff seed and first round opponent are yet to be determined . Congratulations!

This weekend the Blazers 2009 team captured the TCS Buffalo Winter Classic Cup, finishing with a 4-1-0 record. The Blazers avenged their only loss of the tournament in the final, beating the Welland Tigers (ON) 4-3 in an overtime thriller. Congratulations!
