DICK’S Sporting Goods was founded in 1948 when an 18 year-old Dick Stack was working at an Army surplus store in Binghamton, New York. An avid fisherman, Dick was approached by the store owner to come up with a list of products needed to get into the fishing tackle business.

The tryout registration link is now active with this year's 2023-24 registration process. All registrations and payments will be taken online. If you are with another organization currently please make sure you bring your release form to the tryouts. Our coaches' contact information is posted on our Coaching Staff page if you have any questions. All tryouts will be hosted at the NYS Coliseum & Meachem Arena. The tryout cost is $40 per player pre-registration and $50 at the door.
*Mixed Birth year teams for Tier 3 Squirts, Tier 3 PeeWee's, Tier 3 Bantams, and Tier 3 Midgets are TBD based on numbers from tryouts. All players must attend their birth year tryouts in order to determine if these teams are possible. Birth year teams are field first.
* Please contact the head coach if you would like more details on this year's season plan. The opportunity for mixed teams will be evaluated after single birth year tryouts and teams are posted.
Coaching Applications for 2023-2024 Season is still open
The Syracuse Blazers has opened registration for those who are interested in being a head coach or assistant coach during the 2023-24 season. The form will accept individual applications as well as recommendations. The form is now a fillable pdf that will be emailed directly to President Tony Bird at Blazers9612@yahoo.com Applications are due by February, 21st 2023. All decisions will be reviewed and approved by the Board in March.
